The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared an ally of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, wanted for alleged money laundering and secret funding of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.

Achimugu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is accused of laundering money and secretly funding the presidential campaigns of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.

The EFCC has launched a manhunt for Achimugu, who is believed to be hiding in a foreign country. The commission has also frozen several bank accounts linked to Achimugu and his associates.

The development has sparked a political controversy, with many calling for Achimugu to be brought to justice. The EFCC’s action has also raised questions about the funding of political campaigns and the role of money in politics.

The commission’s investigation has revealed that Achimugu allegedly received huge sums of money from questionable sources, which he used to fund the campaigns of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi. The EFCC has vowed to prosecute Achimugu and anyone else found to have engaged in corrupt practices.
