Hurray! MWUN PG, Bunu salutes Adeyanju on his birthday

 

The President-General (PG) of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi has congratulated PG Emeritus and current BoT Chairman of the Union, Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju on his birthday today, 1st October.

Bunu described Comrade Adeyanju as an astute labour leader who is worth his onions, saying he is a quintessential leader, whose experience on labour matters has properly shaped the labour force in Nigeria vis-a-vis its administration; little wonder, he has continued to remain relevant in the scheme of things in the country.

In a press statement by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media,
MWUN, the Ijaw born labour activist and Maritime expert cum administrator says Adeyanju is a staunch administrator, whose reservoir of knowledge cannot be over sighted in any circumstance; hence, he would ever remain one of his biggest admirers come rain or shine, having learned a lot from his bunch of intellectual skills of administration particularly in labour matters.

Comrade Bunu also mentioned that as former PG, Com. Adeyanju will continue to remain relevant and indelible in his day to day activities as the current President -General of the Union, noting that he bequited to him so much knowledge, which has advanced him forward than ever expected in running the affairs of the Union (he Adeyanju) left behind.

He, however, reiterated that his team of executives has been very productive and wonderful in carrying out the daily affairs of the Union, recognizing the fact that he (Adeyanju) left behind for him very proactive administrators, whose capacity are not in doubt in all aspects in taking the Union to a lofty height of achievement.

Comrade Bunu did not mince words over Dr. Adeyanju as a thorough bred administrator, worthy of emulation, while greeting him on his birthday, reminding him that he should continue to flow with the same rhythm of his birthday, which of course, marked the freedom for Nigeria.

He thanked Com. Adeyanju for the endurable legacy he left behind, believing that himself and his executives will continue to be thankful to him from where he stopped as they are determined to keep the flag flying for a more prosperous and unified Union.

Comrade Bunu believes that under his leadership, he and his executives will continue to remember the Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), who doubles as President of the International Transport Federation (ITF) London, having served the Union meritoriously; while wishing Comrade Adewale Adeyanju a very happy and prosperous birthday.
