The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has explained why there is power outage in Anambra State and environs
The General Manager (GM), Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah said that the 132/33kV Onitsha/Oji transmission line supplying power to three substations in the state tripped on fault.
Pleading with the government and electricity consumers in the state, stated that the incident which occured on March 12, 2022 at 4.05pm, affected the Awka, Agu Awka, and Oji 132kV Substations.
“TCN’s linesmen have been on line patrol along the Onitsha/Oji River 132kV transmission line, to detect and clear the fault. Presently, the Oji Substation is being fed through the New Haven Transmission Substation, efforts are also ongoing to backfeed the other two substations while the linesmen are still in the field working to clear the fault.
“TCN sincerely regrets all the inconveniences this incident is causing the government and people in Anambra State and assures that power supply will be restored once the fault is cleared,” he pleaded.
