Amaechi, Bello-Koko visit Lekki Deep Seaport for work rate appraisal.

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko in the company of the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Hon. Chibuike Amaechi on Sunday visited the Lekki Deep Seaport in Lagos.

The visit according to the MD of NPA was for appraisal of the work done at the facility.

Bello-Koko said that that took your of the seaport’s power plant facility which according to him, is about the near-end component.

On his Twitter handle @mojalilah, he said, “I accompanied the Minister of Transportation, Rt Hon. @ChibuikeAmaechi, to appraise the work @LekkiPort. We took a tour of the deep seaport’s power plant facility, which is about the near-end component of the project.”

Lekki Deep Sea Port, currently under construction is a multi-purpose deep sea port at the heart of the Lagos Free Trade Zone.

It is projected to be one of the most modern ports in West Africa, offering enormous support to the burgeoning commercial operation across Nigeria and the entire West African region

Is it expected to commence operation by the end of 2023
