Hon. (Rotarian) Funso Jide Adekunle, has felicitated with all Christians in Ijebu Ode State Constituency and Ogun State at large as they celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, urging them to love one another which is the fulcrum of the Easter celebration.
In his Easter message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Emmanuel lkpeama he called on the Christians to seize the opportunity of the Easter celebration to reflect deeply on peace, love, unity and development of the country.
According to him, the Easter season should serve as a reminder to all Christians, the selflessness, love sacrifice and tolerance of Jesus Christ throughout his earthly sojourn, his death and his resurrection.
He commended the good people of Ijebu Ode State Constituency,for their fervent prayers for the state and Ijebu Ode Local Government during the 40 days fasting, which culminated in the Easter celebrations, emphasising the need for the faithful to sustain their prayers and piety beyond this season.
He went further to state that their supplications would be manifested in their individual lives and in the life of the country.
“It is our hope that God heard our prayers for continued peace, progress of Ogun state and unity of the country. So, on this auspicious occasion, “I urge our people to celebrate hope offered by the significance of Easter because Ogun State is, indeed, in the hands of God.”
“We must also seize this opportunity of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, to reflect deeply on what more we can do as a people, to ensure that there is peace, love and unity amongst ourselves, because there will be no meaningful development in any place where there is rancor and acrimony” Funso opined.
The House of Assembly Candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)in the last general election, reiterated his commitment to continue making sacrifices as well as defend the people’s interest as way of appreciating the love and support shown to him during and after the election.
“It is my earnest prayers that the miracle of Easter will bring peace, love and prosperity to our household” he submitted.
