NPA Strengthens Regional Maritime Governance at Abuja MoU Capacity Building Launch

 

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho has described the launch of the Abuja MoU as a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance maritime governance,

He stated this at the Abuja MoU capacity building launch which held in Lagos on Monday.

He added that the program would also support the effective implementation of Port State Control throughout the Abuja MoU Region.

In a Facebook post of the apex Maritime agency, the MD commended the Chairman of Abuja MoU, His Excellency Hon. Ebrima Sillah, Minister of Transport, Works and Infrastructure of the Republic of The Gambia;

He also commended the Vice-Chairman, His Excellency Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola CON, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy; and the Secretariat led by Captain Sunday Umoren, for their leadership of the Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control for the West and Central African Region (Abuja MoU).
