According to the statement, the initiative was part of the District’s commitment to bridging the communication gap between the District and the Primary Healthcare Centres, so the ultimate beneficiaries can get quality healthcare services.
The Permanent Secretary Lagos State Health District IV, Dr Abimbola Bowale, represented by Dr. Oni Titilola, Director Planning, Research and Statistics, Lagos State Health District IV and Head of the health workforce team, explained the role and responsibilities of the District, saying it is the mandate of the District to protect the health and safety of the people.
She emphasised that the District’s renewed focus on routine monitoring and evaluation was driven by the recognition that regulation alone is not enough and that all the primary healthcare centres under District IV must also be informed on how to give the patients the right healthcare services.
Dr. Oni reaffirmed that the District would continue to organise similar routine monitoring and evaluation to engage all the primary healthcare centres across all the Local Government and Local Council Development Areas covered by district IV.
