The management of Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure has confirmed exit of Deji Ayeni as the head coach of the state football outfit.

In the statement, Team administrative mainstay, Honourable Akin Akinbobola announced that Kayode Adeyemi ‘Imported’ and Folarin Suleiman ‘Lama’ are to take charge of the team alongside the goalkeeper trainer, Stephen Folorunsho pending further pronouncement on the head coach post.”
According to him, “Sunshine Stars can confirm that Deji Ayeni has left his position as Head Coach to take up a similar role at Akwa United.
“The Club thank Ayeni for his services over the past 10 months and wish him well in his new challenge.
“It is expected; coaches will come, coaches will go and this time we are moving forward with renewed optimism.”_ Team administrative mainstay, Honourable Akin Akinbobola said on Thursday.
Akinbobola added: “Kayode Adeyemi ‘Imported’ and Folarin Suleiman ‘Lama’ are to take charge of the team alongside the goalkeeper trainer, Stephen Folorunsho pending further pronouncement on the head coach post in due course.”
He added.rhat the club will resume preparations for the second stanza of the current season on Friday.
