Runsewe commends Yahaya Bello for sponsoring kogi culture troupe to India
The Director General of National Council for Arts and Culture, Otunba Segun Runsewe has commended the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for sponsoring the kogi cultural assembly to Jurasukund International Festival in India to represent Nigeria.
Runsewe who doubles as President, Africa Region, World Craft Council gave the commendation in a short message made available to the press.
He described the governor’s gesture and wonderful gift and support to cultural development in Kogi state
He added that the move has confirmed Governor Yahaya Bello as a lover of culture
Otunba Runsewe’s words, “This is a wonderful gift and great support to cultural development in Kogi state, a confirmation that the Kogi governor is a lover of culture” Otunba Segun Runsewe affirmed.”
He called for more robust cultural engagement in Kogi state, exuding confidence that the governor will do more for the state.
He noted that for its rich cultural history and peaceful co-existence of all Nigerians, earned it a reputation for being the most peaceful destination in Nigeria.
“Governor Yahaya has really earned our respect and admiration, because inspite of the unhealthy economic situation, he still went ahead to showcase Kogi, nay Nigeria to the world at Jurasukund International Cultural Tourism Festival in India ” Otunba Segun Runsewe further explained.
Kogi cultural contingent will also storm the 35th edition of NAFEST, in Lagos, come November.
