Otan Ayegbaju Progressive Union (OAPU) has called on all political leaders and supporters in Osun state to ensure peace reigns in Otan community during the electioneering campaigns and eventual polls.
The National President of OAPU, Akinloye Farinde made the call on Tuesday in a statement personally signed by him.
The OAPU leader enjoined politicians to be guided according to the dictates of the law before, during and after the elections across Otan Ayegbaju.
Part of the statement read, “Our politicians are enjoined to be guided in accordance to the dictates of the law before, during and after the election across our land.
“The Owa-in- Council had always made similar appeal during their meetings and ensuring same message is passed to all citizens of Otan Ayegbaju at home especially.
“We trust that our political leaders, stakeholders, supporters and our people will go about this exercise peacefully.
“Also, we appeal to security operatives to create conducive atmosphere for electorates to vote and ensure people’s votes count,” he maintained.
