Omo-Agege charges contractors handling Fed Poly Orogun to hasten up work on project

…says institution will boost technical education in Delta, Nigeria.
The Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo- Agege has called on contractors handling projects at the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun, Delta State to hasten work on the project, pointing out that the polytechnic would boost technical education across the state and nation.
Speaking after inspecting projects at the institution on Saturday, Senator Omo-Agege who doubles as the Delta APC Governorship Candidate, pointed out that the
polytechnic was conceived with the intent of making it the bastion of technical and academic excellence.
According to him, academic work will commence from some buildings in the community pending completion of work at the institution.
Ima Niboro, Director, Communications and Media Strategy, Delta APC Gubernatorial Campaign Organisation stated this in a release on Sunday.
He listed some of the temporary sites to include Orhoera Secondary Secondary, Ugono-Orogun; JAMB Centre,  Orhoera; Information Communication Technology Centre, Emonu-Orogun, among others.
His words: “Since the state government is not willing to give us a temporary
site, we are trying to see some of the projects that I brought here, to see if  we can also make them available to the polytechnic pending the completion of the permanent site.
“So, we are looking for some of the
buildings we have within the
community that could serve as a temporary site.
“We have Orhoera Secondary Secondary, Ugono-Orogun; JAMB Centre, town hall. Be that as it may, all things are
going well.”
Some of the projects visited at the institution include the Gateway, lecture
theatres, administration blocks, faculty buildings, library, among others.
The bill establishing the polytechnic
which was signed into law by PresidentMuhammadu Buhari in April 2022, was sponsored by Senator Omo-Agege.
The lawmaker was accompanied on
the visit by the Chairman, APC Delta
Central Senatorial District, Chief
