Manifesto: NLC delegates reject Tinubu's representation at conference
The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Tuesday, rejected that Comrade Adams Oshiomhole should speak on behalf of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
The Congress had invited presidential candidates of APC, NNPP, Labour Party and PDP to address the workers on their plans for workers should any of them emerge president of the country.
Oshiomhole had chosen to speak on behalf of the APC presidential candidate who he said was absent because of his engagement at Ibadan at the 13th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference in Abuja on Tuesday.
The Congress refused that he delivered the presidential candidate’s speech saying if he could not honour their invitation at this time, he won’t recognise them if he becomes president.
The shout of noooooo, nooooo, noooo rented the air as the members insisted that the former Edo governor could not speak fo the absent presidential candidate.
Realising that the crowd would not allow him to speak for his principal, Oshiomhole conceded to deliver his speech as a former NLC president.
