Insecurity: Civil Defence commissions Akerebiata division to strengthen security in Kwara

In a concerted effort to bolster security measures and address prevailing challenges in the state, the kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Umar Mohammed officially commissioned the Akerebiata Divisional Headquarters today, 12th December, 2023.
ASC Ayoola Michael Shola, NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Kwara State stated this in a statement on Tuesday.
Speaking at the occasion, Commandant Umar described the office as a landmark achievement and appreciated the Balogun Gambari Ward Development Association for their unwavering commitment, ensuring the timely completion of the project.
He emphasized the pivotal role the new office will play in combating emerging security issues in the state, reaffirming the corps commitment to safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure.
In his opening speech, Mallam Tunde Issa Jamogada, President of Balogun Gambari Ward Development Association, commended the NSCDC for their tireless dedication to the safety and security of the community.
He stated that officers and men of the division have consistently demonstrated high level of competency and effectiveness in handling various security challenges in the community saying the building is to appreciate and provide a more conducive working environment for officers and men of the division.
The Balogun Agba of Ilorin Emirate Council, Alhaji Aliyu Mohammed Adebayo also praised the NSCDC for maintaining law and order and creating a secure environment for the community.
The commissioning was graced by notable attendees, including the Balogun Agba of Ilorin Emirate Council, Alhaji Aliu Mohammed Adebayo, DPO Oja C. Division CSP Mukaila, OC Military Police Major O.A Okewumi, Chairman Community Policing Alhaji Abdullai Jubril, and Chairman Balogun Gambari Ward Development Association Mallam Tunde Issa Jamogada, among others.
