INEC publishes names of NNPP National Assembly candidates after Court judgement 

 

 

Leadership of the Nigerian New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) has announced the publication of 80 candidates for the National Assembly whose data were earlier not uploaded.by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

National Secretary of the party, Dipo Olayoku in a statement stated that the electoral umpire eventually uploaded the names after Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the commission to upload their names.

 

Full text of the release, “This is to inform all NNPP States Chairmen and indeed National Assembly Candidates whose data were not uploaded earlier that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the names of the Eighty (80) National Assembly Candidates as ordered by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

 

“You would recall that during the window for replacement of some National Assembly Candidates in August, 2022, the INEC prematurely shut its Portal against us which made it impossible for us to complete the exercise. This prompted the Court case we instituted against the Electoral umpire and the Court ruled in our favour on October 13, 2022.

 

“It is our pleasure to announce to our esteemed members that INEC has finally published the names of the 80 Candidate as Candidates of the NNPP in the 2023 General Election.

 

“The NWC wishes to use this opportunity to congratulate the National Leader, His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the Chairman, BOT, Chief Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, Secretary BOT,

 

“Engr. Buba Galadima and other Leaders and Elders as well as the generality of the members of the Party on this victory. We are using this medium to assure our members that no stone will be left unturned in our efforts to ensure that no bonafide Candidate of NNPP is deprived of the opportunity to take part in the 2023 General Elections.

 

“For this reason, we urge every Candidate of NNPP to intensify their Campaigns for the election.”
