Graphic picture: NSCDC kills suspected kidnapper in gun battle, four escape with gunshot wounds 

Oyo command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said officers of the Corps killed a suspected kidnapper to death on Thursday.

In a statement by DSC Oyindamola Okuneye, CDPRO, the kidnapper was shot dead at Easy Gate Farm along Abanla Ogunmakin road, Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to the State Commandant of the Corps, CC Adaralewa Michael, the suspected kidnappers numbering about 8 (eight) gained entry into the farm to kidnap the owner of the farm who is a foreigner but had to engage the gallant officers of the Corps in a gun battle in which one of them was shot dead and others escaped with various degree of bullet wounds.

It would be recalled that on June 1, 2022, the suspected kidnappers visited the farm to kidnap a victim during when one of our officers was shot during gun battle before the reprisal attack that happened on September 28, 2022.

Consequently, Commandant Adaralewa Michael used the medium to call on the citizens of the State to join hands with all Security operatives by giving credible information on what is happening in their jurisdiction and also inform NSCDC or the sister agencies anytime they suspect anybody with bullet wound in other to arrest other members of the kidnapped gang that escaped with the bullet injuries.
