The Ejiro and Kevwe Atina brothers have taken jazz music across the borders of Nigeria even as they received international awards for their dexterous display in Ghana and Kenya respectively.

 

Even though the duo are still engaged in their academic pursuit, they have played at different fora in Nigeria and abroad which has earned the country an accolade for producing the geniuses.

 

Speaking with journalists, the brothers said they were at first , did not fall in love with jazz music but later picked interest in the music genre after repeatedly listened to it.

According to them, they enjoyed the Ghana trip more because it gave them the opportunity to play for a longer duration as well as networking with foreigners.

 

They added that having faced a large crowd in both countries, they have now developed confidence to face any crowd anywhere in the world.

 

The brothers even though they have passion for jazz music, want to become Quantum Software Engineer and Pilot respectively.

 

They maintained that their musical journey could not derail them from achieving their academic pursuit

 

They added that they don’t intend to go solo in future saying they would love to play together for as.long as they still play the music.

 

“The Ghana trip was nice, I got the chance to play outside the country, I appreciate the opportunity.

 

“Our experience in Ghana was better became we played very well and.longer

 

We are more.confidebt now to face the crowd more than before.

We love our experience outside the country than what we had in the country because we practised very well so that we will not disgrace ourselves.

On whether they intend to stand alone in future, the wonder kids said,  “We don’t intend to work separate in future and we also intend to make jazz music our part time profession in future

Asked of what they want to become in future, Ejiro said he would like to be a quantum software engineer while Kevwe wants to be a pilot

 

Asked how they developed the live for the music genre, Ejiro explained that “The first time I listened to it, it was actually boring but when I started listening to it over and over, it was my inspiration to learn because there is a way saxophone fine tunes the song you are playing and it is actually nice.”
