Oyo state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 1,705 personnel of the command to places of worship, markets, recreation centers and highways to beef up security before, during and after the Eid-el fitr celebration.
The state command’s Commandant Dr. CC Adaralewa Micheal made this known while addressing the personnel of the corps on mode of operation during the holiday for the Eid-el fitr celebration at the Command State Headquarters Old Nitel building, Agodi Ibadan.

Commandant Adaralewa Micheal, charged the the tactical Units which include Anti Vandal, Counter terrorism, Agro Ranger and Female special Squad Unit to double their efforts in their provision of adequate Security to the good people of Oyo State and to also ensure the adequate protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures in the State during the celebration.
While assuring residents and members of the public of adequate protection of lives and property during the celebration, he urged them to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious acts or movement to Oyo NSCDC or sister agencies.
He enjoined Muslim faithfuls to extend the teaching of giving, love and abstinence from sin, learnt during the Ramadan to their daily life.
While wishing Muslim faithfuls happy Eld-el fitr celebrations the State Commandant enjoined them to celebrate moderately.
