Barrister Hassan Bello, immediate past Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) was in Thursday conferred with a prestigious National Honours Award of Order Of the Niger (OON) by the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari
The event which took place on Thursday, held in Abuja.
The former NSC boss was conferred with the award in recognition of his contributions to the Maritime industry in his eight years as ES/CEO of the Council.
Aside the deserving award, Bello is expected to be a key player in the incoming government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his enormous roles and developmental strategies as the helmsman of Shippers’ Council.
Speaking, Barr. Bello said, “My profound gratitude goes to the (former) President Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari. I am humbled to announce that I have been conferred with the Prestigious National Honours Award of the Order of the Niger (OON).”
“This honour at this point in the history of our nation, fills my heart with sincere gratitude to the president, the nation, transport Ministry as well as the maritime sector where I was given opportunities to serve as the executive secretary of the NSC for eight years.”
