Armed Forces Remembrance Day planning committee visits Oyo NSCDC, commends command for internal security
As the country awaits this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance day celebrations observed on 15th January, 2023, to commemorate the servicemen of the Nigerian Armed Forces and to honor the Veterans of world war 1 and 11 as well as the Nigerian Civil war.
Meanwhile this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Planning Committee visited the command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) to appreciate the corps and also carry the organization along as one of the paramilitary organizations in the country.
The chairman of the committee Barrister Ayoade Adetayo from the Ministry of Women Affairs and Director of Social Welfare and Social Inclusion Oyo state, commended the command and the commandant of the corps for playing a vital role in the internal security of the state and also applauded the command’s response to emergency calls in the state.
The Chairman also commended the command’s Anti-human trafficking and child protection unit for their roles in preventing children from abuse and trafficking.
While responding, the state commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps Oyo state command, CC Adaralewa Micheal Akintayo calls on everyone to support the families left behind by the fallen heroes and commended the committee for a job well done.
As a way of supporting the course of the Armed Forces Remembrance Planning Committee, the state commandant on behalf of the Oyo state command of NSCDC contributed its quota to support the fallen heroes.
