…Ondo Dep Gov., Aiyedatiwa visits Vice President.
The proposed Ondo Deep Seaport got a big boost on Wednesday as Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo declared that the Federal Government would support Ondo State Government to ensure the port becomes a reality.
The Vice President made the commitment during Ondo State Acting Governor/Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s visit to the Vice President, at Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Aiyedatiwa was accompanied on the visit by the Chairman/CEO, Nigeria in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM ), Hon Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
Osinbajo commended Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, for his vision on the Deep Seaport, believed to be the needed turning point in the Sunshine State.
Responding, Aiyedatiwa thanked the Vice President for the audience and federal Government’s commitment to the actualization of the seaport, promising that Governor Akeredolu’s administration would not relent in it’s efforts for a new and prosperous Ondo State.
Ondo State Executive Council led by the Chief of Staff to Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale accompanied Acting Governor/Deputy Governor’s visit.
