EID-EL-FITR: AIG Olofu orders continuous patrol of maritime domain, felicitates Muslims

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Maritime Police Command, FHQ Annex, Lagos, AIG Olofu A. Rhoda has deployed officers and men under his command on the waterways for security during the sallah celebration.
She announced the deployment while speaking with heads of units and commands and.formations under her watch

The maritime police also felicitate with the Muslim community over the successful completion of Ramadan fast.
“AIG Olofu Rhoda while reassuring the entire maritime community of the Maritime Police Command’s zeal and commitment to ensuring continuous safety and security of the nation’s inland waterways, ports corridor, creeks, harbours, port terminals, the riverine communities and other critical infrastructures during this Eid-el fitr celebrations, has directed the Commissioners of Police, Eastern and Western Ports Command, National Inland Waterways Police and the Force Marine Officer to increase the deployment of Police assets in their areas of responsibility for regular and intensified visibility patrols that will further guarantee the security and protection of the maritime space.
“The AIG appealed to all Muslim faithfuls to remember the teachings, sacrifices, love and virtues that the season represents as we celebrate the end of the Ramadan fast. Let us continue to collaborate to ensure a safe, peaceful and secure environment for all, the AIG concluded.
