The President General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Adewale Adeyanju on Friday, led his national officers to the Minister of Labour, Muhammed Maiqari Dinqyari in his office in Abuja
The visit may not be unconnected to the upcoming elections into the office of the pResident General and branches slated for March, 2025
Recall that Comrade Bunu Abi is the only known candidate vying for the exalted office after the withdrawal of Comrade Ifeanyi Mazeli from the race to support Bunu
According to him, his withdrawal is to engender peace in the industry
Elections in MWUN used to be violent before the coming of Prince Adewale Adeyanju who has since reformed the union and engendered peace and harmony in the conduct of elections.
