PHOTO NEWS: Women in Shipping shower orphanage, elderly home with food, clothing, cash, others.
The Women wing of the Shipping Branch of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) have showered food items, toiletries, clothing, cash, among other items on members of elderly homes in Jakande, Isolo as well as less privileged children in Cheshire Home in Mushin.
The Women Wing team executives and members led by the Women leader, Comrade Rosemary Otikpere and Vice President General, Shipping Branch, MWUN, Comrade Funmi Fasan, visited two homes on Friday.
The centres visited include: Centre for Happy Elderly Homes (CHEP) in Jakande area, Isolo, Lagos and Lagos Cheshire Home (Mushin).
Some of the items presented to the homes include; tubers of yam, bags of rice, packs of spaghetti, bags of Semolina, bundles of new wrappers, adult pampers, detergents, soap tablets, cash, among others.
