At Snake Island, Lagos, the Agency engaged community leaders, youths, and residents on the dangers and consequences of stowing away on vessels.

In a statement on Monday by Osagie Edward, Deputy Director/Head, Public Relations, NIMASA, residents commended NIMASA for the enlightenment campaign, describing it as timely and impactful.

Leading the Agency’s team, Head of ISPS, Mr. Mudi Isa, emphasized that stowaway incidents damage Nigeria’s reputation in the global maritime community and reaffirmed NIMASA’s commitment to preventive awareness through community engagement.
