Oyo NSCDC: "Your promotion is a call to do more," Adarelewa admonishes newly promoted officers
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oyo State Command has decorated 123 of its officers who were newly promoted into various ranks.
Oyo State command Public Relations Officer (PRO), Oyindamola Okuneye, stated this in a statement she made available to the press on Thursday.
The statement said that the NSCDC Commandant in Oyo State Dr Adaralewa Michael Akintayo and other service Commanders in the State graced the occasion and decorate the officers at the Command State Headquarters, Old Nitel building Agodi Ibadan today.
According to the State Commandant, the promotion was based on merit and given to deserving officers.
Breakdown of the promoted and decorated officers include 1 Assistant Commandant to Deputy Commandant, 20 Chief Superintendents of Corps to Assistant Commandants of Corps, 5 Superintendents of Corps to Chief Superintendent of Corps, 6 Deputy Superintendents of Corps to Superintendent of Corps, 17 Assistant Superintendents of Corps 1 to Deputy Superintendent of Corps, 20 Assistant Superintendent of Corps 11 to Assistant Superintendent of Corps 1 and 54 Inspector of Corps to Assistant Superintendent of Corps 11.
Commandant Adaralewa Michael Akintayo later admonished the newly promoted officers to see their new rank as an avenue to do more for the protection of lives and property of the citizens of the State and the Country at large.
“You are now entrusted with challenging responsibility to carry forward a legacy of honour, duty and selfless service,” stated the State Commandant.
