Oyo NSCDC boss warns against fuel hoarding, hike in price.

 

 

As the scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) bites harder in Oyo State, the State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oyo State Command, CC Adaralewa Michael has warned the Petroleum marketers to avoid hoarding or increasing the pump price if the product arbitrarily.

Commandant Adaralewa Michael warned all Petroleum dealers and tanker drivers that are in the habit of diverting the product to desist from such act.

Deputy Security Corps (DSC) Oyindamola Okuneye, CDPRO stated this in a release on Thursday.

He made this known on Thursday at the Corps Command State Headquarters at Agodi while meeting with some of the dealers in the State. He enjoined the dealers to desist from hoarding the product as it bring unnecessary hardship on the citizens.

The State Commandant later made it known that officers and men of the Anti – Vandalization unit of the Corps will start a routine check on all the filling stations in the State and anyone found hoarding the product will be dealt with as enemy of the State.

“Government is doing everything possible to make life easy for it’s citizens and we all need to support the government by doing the right thing at all time”, said Commandant Adaralewa.

He called on the people of the State to be part of the nation building by volunteering information to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to checkmate those who are in the habit of hoarding fuel in the State.
