Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has commiserated with the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Ahmed Idris Wase and the people of Barshar Emirate in Plateau State over the death of Alhaji Adamu Idris, the Emir of Bashar
Omo-Agege described the death of the Emir as the end of a remarkable era in the history of Bashar Emirate.
According to a statement by Yomi Odunuga, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Deputy President of the Senate, the Deputy Speaker commiserated with the Bashar Emirate in a condolence message personally signed by him.
“The late Emir, Alhaji Adamu Idris who is elder brother to our dear Deputy Speaker passed away at the age of 96, with a long reign that signposts a remarkable era in the lives of his people.
“As we pray for God Almighty to grant his soul eternal repose, I urge the entire people of Barshar Emirate to find consolation in their faith as well as the long, fruitful years with which God Almighty blessed Emir Alhaji Adamu Idris,” he stated.
