Breaking! INEC postpones Saturdays Governorship, State Assembly elections by one week.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has postponed the saturday’s Governorship and State Assembly elections by one week.

The postponement is borne out of the Court of Appeal’s Wednesday judgement granting its prayers to reconfigure the Bimodal Voter Accrediting System (BVAS).

The exercise was previously scheduled to hold on March 11 but the Commission said due to logistics stemming from BVAS configuration and transportation stated that the election would no longer hold as scheduled following a meeting of its executives on Wednesday evening.
