The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has dealt a significant blow to the illicit drug trade in Nigeria with the interception of a large consignment of cocaine and other illicit drugs bound for the Holy Land.
The seizure was made at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, where two suspects, Emmanuel Ugochukwu and Chika Egwu, were arrested for attempting to smuggle the illicit substances out of the country.
The NDLEA has identified the seized substances as cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine, which were cleverly concealed in a luggage bound for Israel.
The agency has commended its operatives for their vigilance and professionalism in intercepting the illicit substances. The NDLEA has also vowed to continue its efforts to disrupt the illicit drug trade and bring those involved to justice.
