The Air Commodore of the Nigerian Air Force, 671 Detachment, Ibadan, Nasir Babatunde Folaji has pledged continued support for the Oyo state Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The Air Force boss made the pledge on Wednesday, during a courtesy visit to the state Corps headquarters in Ibadan.
DSC Oyindamola Okuneye, Corps Public Relations Officer (PRO), Oyo Command headquarters, stated this in a press release.
While speaking, the Air Commodore called for all hands to be on deck in the fight against insecurity in the country.
He also noted that the security of Oyo State can only be achieved through persistent cooperation between the two organizations as it was done in the past.
His words, ”Security of the Nation is the duty of all security operatives, therefore there should be synergy of efforts between the two security agencies,” he stated.
Reacting, the state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Commandant Adaralewa Micheal, noted that the era of inter-agency rivalry is over as the common goal is security of lives and properties of the people of Oyo state and the Nation at large.
He stated further that the corps had improved in her activities through investment in training and retraining exercises by the Commandant General of the Corps, CG Abubakar Ahmed Audi.
The Commandant stressed further that the Corps would continue to consult and romance the Nigerian Air Force whenever necessary as security of lives and properties is a joint venture for all security agencies and the citizens.
