MWUN VPG, Funmi Fasan emerges ITF Women Wing Chairperson
The Vice President General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Funmi Fasan has been elected as the Chairperson of International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Women wing.
She emerges the chairperson at the 7th International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Women Delegate Conference held in December, 2024,.
In a release by Comrade Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head, Media, MWUN, Sister Omolabake Adelakun from Road Transport Employers Association, emerged as the Vice Chairperson while Sister Safiya Araya from NUATE clinched the m Vice Chairperson even as Sister Amos Chidiebele of Merchant Navy won the seat of the Secretary
Other elected executives at the conference include; Sister Rukayat Shuaibu – Asst Secretary from (ATSSAN), Sister Ayegba Sarah – Treasurer from Railway, Sister Ogochukwu Ibegbunam – Financial Secretary from ANAP.
Others are: Comrade Sister Modupe Odunmuyiwa- Auditor from ROAD, Sister Onyeka Anthonia as Welfare from RAIL, Sister Okezie Dickson Ijeoma – 1st Trustee from M/Navy, Sister Uguru Fidelia Uwaoma – 2nd Trustee from NUATE, Sister Oloyede Olaide – 1st PRO ATSSAN, Sister Popoola Temitope – 2nd PRO from MWUN and Comrade Sister Igbokwe Ngozi Tochi – Ex-Officio.
The new executives are to serve in their various offices for the term of four years.
