The President General of the Maritime Workers’ Union off Nigeria MWUN, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju has been elected to occupy three strategic positions in the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF)

 

Adeyanju who is also the First Vice President, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), now occupies the following positions in ITF, namely; Vice President of ITF Global., Executive Board Member., Chairman of ITF Africa Region

Text of the release, “The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) proudly announces the glorious ratification of the election of our esteemed and indefatigable President General, Comrade (Prince) Adewale Adeyanju, to three prestigious positions at the 46th International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) Congress in Marrakesh, Morocco.

 

“At the ITF Africa Regional Conference held in March 2024 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Comrade Adeyanju was elected to the following highly coveted positions, which have now been successfully ratified:

 

1. Vice President of ITF Global.

2. Executive Board Member.

3. Chairman of ITF Africa Region.

These appointments are a resounding testament to Comrade Adeyanju’s progressive leadership, tireless dedication to advancing the rights of workers, and his pivotal role in the global maritime sector. His election marks a historic moment for Nigeria and Africa, underscoring his ability to unite and champion the cause of workers on an international scale.
