Metropolitan Unit executives inaugurated, as executives promise truck owners of relief from challenges

The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) on Wednesday, inaugurated the newly elected executives of the association’s metropolitan unit
The elected officials promised to work for relief from the challenges facing truck owners and drivers in the Maritime corridors.
The Chairman of NARTO Metropolitan Unit, Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammed Inuwa gave the assurance at the Inauguration of the unit in Lagos on Wednesday.
Speaking, Alhaji Inuwa said the purpose of the unit was to make sure that the operations of members of the association are without hitches.
He added that the metropolitan unit was created to cater for the interest of non-indigenous transporters doing business in the state, it’s environs.
“As you all know, NARTO Metropolitan Unit is like a first son of a family. That is to say the NARTO Metropolitan Unit is as old as the association itself based on the strategic position of the state where transporters from all over the country can be found, is the reason NARTO Metropolitan is created to cater for the interest of non-indigenous transporters doing businesses in the state, its environs and the unit is directly under NARTO national secretariat.
The names of the newly inaugurated executives include;
Alhaji Abdullahi Mohamed Inuwa as the Chairman, Alhaji Raji Yunusa Abiodun as the 1st Deputy chairman, Mohammed Gujja Ebet – 2nd Deputy chairman, Mr Victor Nnotum emerged the secretary, Mr Jacob Onoja as the Assistabt Secretary, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Ibrahim, Vice Chairman, Up country and Mr Afolabi Afolayan, Vice Chairman on Export Port Operation.
