The Lagos State Government through the Lagos Ferry Services (LAGFERRY) is set to introduce Eko token reward system for waterways commuters across the terminals and jetties in the state.
The cash token affords LAGFERRY passengers the opportunity to win up to N100 million in the reward system.
This is contained in a statement by Ridwan Olanrewaju, Public Affairs Unit
The Managing Director of LAGFERRY, Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun disclosed that the need for waterways users to enjoy and maximise the benefits of the use of waterways, informed the adoption of the reward system.
His words, “There has been, since 2019 a transformation of the waterways sector and commitment of the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu to development of the State’s waterways has afforded essential investment for crucial growth and acceptability among Lagosians.”
According to him, the collaboration with Eko token for the reward system, which he described as “seamless, wonderful and fantastic initiative,” is a pathway for waterways users to enjoy added benefits, extending reward system to users who patronize Lagos Ferry Services.
He added that with assurance of safety and comfort, users now have benefits to wining “something at the end of day” which he said would come in “cash and kind”, while increasing their mileage.
The Managing Director, Cash Token Africa, represented by the Head Business Development and Expansion, Adeoye Simi, explained that Lagosians have been winning cash rewards from other services like the Lagos Bus Services and the eko token cash reward system is now being introduced to passengers using the waterways.
She further explained that once passengers purchased tickets up to N5,000, they automatically get instant cash reward and a token that qualifies them to win big during the weekly draws.
