The Lagos State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Eweka Edenabu Okoro, on Tuesday reiterated the command’s continuous synergy and support for the Nigeria Correctional Service in the State.

The Commandant made the pledge when he received the Controller, Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Lagos State Command, Controller Ben-Rabbi Freedman, at the Command’s Headquarters, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
Commandant Okoro stated that the Command would continue to sustain the already established cordial relationship between both services in the State.
In view of the spate of insecurity in the nation, the Lagos NSCDC boss pledged his unalloyed continuous synergy and support, towards the protection of correctional facilities and other Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), mainly the Federal Government property, the State Government property and the Local Government property, in the State, as mandated by the Act establishing the Corps in 2003 and 2007 as amended .
The Commandant also seized the opportunity of the visit to laud the immense contributions of the (NCoS), towards the eradication of crimes and criminality in the State.
Earlier, the Controller of Corrections, Controller Ben-Rabbi Freedman, who was warmly welcomed by the Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Commandant Eweka Edenabu Okoro and the Management Staff of the command, highlighted the mission of his visit which include to strengthen existing enjoyable security services, continuous synergy and robust support, request for deployment of additional NSCDC armed personnel to compliment the existing ones at the correctional facilities in the State.
