"I am going into ANLCA BoT election to define role of members, stop interference in NECOM affairs - Otunba Babatunde Mukaila

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Mickey Excellency Nigeria Limited, Otunba Babatunde Abdulazeez Mikhail on Tuesday stated that his ambition to becoming one of the members of Board of Trustees of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) is to correct the ills that have been the bane of peace in the foremost freight forwarding association
In a chat with newsmen, the former administrator of the association, maintained that interference from board members in the running of the association has always been the case of divisions.
According to him, his sole intention of vying for membership of the board is to lend his voice on constitutional roles of the board members which he said included advisory and electoral roles.
Otunba Mikhail who was the National Secretary of the association under the immediate past National Executive Committee (NECOM), added that his wealth of experience in the group will serve as an advantage for him to achieve his motive of uniting the BoT and the NECOM
He quipped that there has never been NECOM without interference from the BoT member from time which according to him, he intends to go into the board to interpret the roles of the board to other members
His words, “All the work and structures that I have put in place in ANLCA , I felt the board is always a threat to the well-being of the association if not well redefined constitutionally.
“Overtime, you observed that there is no president that has governed ANLCA very well, the real issue is the Board Of Trustee. The leaders have never found it easy to govern because of the board ‘s interference.
“I felt I have a structure, track record, service and experience that I can render and I will do my best in the board if elected. I want ANLCA to start a new journey whereby there will be no interference between the board and executives,” he stated. .
He therefore called on 774 eligible license owners to afford him the opportunity to correct the anomalies by voting massively for him
He said that members needed to identify and know the difference between NECOM and BoT members.
Otunba Mikhail whose campaign slogan is one with God is a majority, said a vote for him in the election, is a vote for renovation, integrity and experience.
