Gunmen early Wednesday morning broke into one of the parishes presided over by Bishop of the Catholic Diocese, Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Hassan-Kukah.
It was gathered that the armed hoodlums kidnapped two priests and two others in the rectory of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gidan Maikambo in the Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Kukah’s Catholic Diocese covers Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto and Katsina states.
The Director, Social Communications of Sokoto Diocese, Rev Fr Christopher Omotosho has reportedly confirmed the development.
