Ed-El-Kabir: Oyo NSCDC deploys 2,300 officers to praying grounds, other places
Oyo State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 2,300 officers and men of the Corps to man the forthcoming Eid-El-Kabir celebration across the state.
The state Commandant, CC Adaralewa Michael made deployment during the security assessment in preparation for this year Eid-El Kabir celebration.
DSC Okuneye Oyindamola, CDPRO, Oyo command made this public in a statement on Thursday.
The Oyo NSCDC boss stated that “We can only live in peace among all the tribes, ethnics, religious group in the Country to achieve one goal of unity.”
The State Commandant felicitate with all Muslim faithfuls in the State as he wishes them happy Eid-El Kabir celebrations.
He used the medium to direct all the divisional officers across the State to see Eid-El Kabir festival as a challenge in other to beef up Security in their various divisions.
Meanwhile, he made it known that two thousand three hundred officers and men of the Command will be deployed to Eid praying grounds and every part of the State for Security coverage before, during and after the Sallah.
He stressed further that the Country can only overcome all his Security challenges if peace and unity among the citizenry is given a priority.
Commandant Adaralewa disclosed further that Oyo NSCDC has intensified surveillance and patrol of Critical infrastructures, flash spots, shopping malls, recreation centres and NNPC right of ways to forestall criminality and make Oyo crime free during the Eid-El Kabir celebrations.
He emphasised that both armed, unarmed and covert officers will be on duty during the celebrations. He later enjoined everyone in the State to celebrate moderately and wishes them happy Sallah celebrations.
