Easter: AIG Maritime directs personnel on 24 hours waterways surveillance

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Maritime Police Command, Lagos, AIG Olofu Rhoda Adetutu has directed the heads of Commands and Formations under the Maritime’s administrative and operational control to intensify emplacement of watertight security of the nations’ inland and navigable waterways, ports, harbours, and the entire maritime domain during and after the forthcoming Easter celebrations.
The AIG stated this in her address to the Management Team, and the officers and men under her watch in readiness for the Easter break.
In a statement by ASP Ehinmode Rowland, Ag. Police Public Relations Officer, Maritime Police Command, the AIG directed officers to demonstrate high level professionalism and discipline in the discharge of their duties while ensuring that there is no security breach in their areas of responsibility.
AIG Olofu further demanded dedication, commitment, unwavering loyalty and resilience from every personnel of the Command in the course of performing their duties, while encouraging them to shun corruption, build team spirit and be professional in their conducts.
