CG Adeniyi reverts critical units to ACG, Headquarters' office.
The Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi has reverted some units at the Customs Headquarters to the office of Assistant Comptroller General (ACG), Headquarters.
The.office of the Assistant Comptroller General is the administrative power house of the Service.
In a circular titled Reversion of some units to office of ACG Headquarters with no, Hq/014/2023, states that “I am directed to inform you that the under listed units have been reverted to the office of the ACG, Headquarters for effective service delivery and attainment of value for the Service.
The defected units include; Air Wing unit, Auction and Overtime cargo, Customs Intelligence Unit, Customs Police Unit, and Forensic Unit.
The units were under the office of the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) during the reign of Col. Hameed Ali (Rtd).
The further stated further that “Consequently, all correspondence relating to the above-mentioned units should be directed to the office of the ACG, Headquarters accordingly.
