BREAKING NEWS: Gov. Sanwo-Olu announces ban of Okada in some Local Govts
...directs DPOs to execute order
Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced the TOTAL BAN on commercial motorcycles popularly called Okada in some Local Government areas in Lagos state.
The ban takes effect from June 1st, 2022 in Ikeja, Surulere, Eti Osa, Lagos Mainland, Lagos Island and Apapa local government areas of the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu gave this order today while speaking with all DPOs and Area Commanders across the State today at the Lagos House, Ikeja.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says other security agencies will join in the enforcement.
This move is believed to be gradual measure of easing out the means of transportation in the state.
