The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) on Thursday, praised Truck Transit Parks Limited (TTP) for its role in improving cargo movement around the ports.

At a press briefing, NAGAFF President, High Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, along with other committee members, noted that TTP’s efforts have led to a much smoother flow of traffic along the Apapa and Tin Can port corridors.

Represented by the Secretary General, Comrade Emeka Nwosu, Ezisi spoke on the theme “Inherent Challenges to Traffic Management In and Around the Ports in Lagos, in appraisal of effectiveness and efficiency of NPA/TTP on traffic flow.”

He highlighted how TTP’s interventions over the past two years have effectively resolved traffic issues and improved road management in the port city.

Ezisi also reflected on the severe traffic congestion that previously plagued the area, which had nearly crippled business operations and caused companies to move away.

He pointed out that despite various government attempts, these issues persisted until the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Ministry of Transportation engaged TTP.

According to Ezisi, TTP’s digital traffic management operations have significantly eased the gridlock within two years, benefiting both port operators and the wider economy.
