2023: Boat operators to mobilise over 2 million votes for Sanwo-Olu's re-election.

A group of private commercial boat operators in Lagos has viewed to mobilise Lagosians for the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for second term in office.

The group promised to mobilise over two million voters including waterways users for the second term bid of the Governor on March 11, 2023 gubernatorial and state House of Assembly elections in the state.

Deep interactions between the two registered bodies on waterways transportation, traditional rulers and waters users around the littoral communities of Epe, Badagry, Ikorodu and Badore in Victoria Island, revealed strategic plans to ensure the mop up of voters in these places, which harbours growing population of fishermen, traders, fiberglass and boat builders and brown water enabled entrepreneurs.

A top source, close to the Congress of boat operators and sundry activities entrepreneurs, disclosed that governor Sanwo-Olu brought security and safety on waterways transportation ecosystem in Lagos,.

He added that even though more is expected to truly democratise and empower private sector boat operators and ferry services entrepreneurs, the re-election of governor Babajide Sanwo-0lu is not negotiable.

“We have met, reviewed activities action plans, and indeed, going door to door, community to community to drum up support for governor Babajide sanwo-0lu because he must finish the good works he started about four years ago.

“We are ready, very ready to process about two million voters in our sector to make it happen. More on our plans, will be made public on Wednesday after another round of our meetings” the source explained further.”
