Police, Civil Defence in synergy to enhance adequate security of lives, property in Oyo state.

In further efforts at combating insecurity in Oyo State, new Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Adebola Hamzat on Thursday, visited the Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps counterpart at the NSCDC headquarters.
Civil Defence Public Relations Officer, Oyo command, Oyindamola Okuneye stated this in a press release made available to our correspondent.
According to the release, CP Hamzat reiterated the need for collaborative efforts with sister security agency for effective policing of the Pacesetter state during a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Command of the NSCDC.
The 45th Commissioner of Police in the State appreciated the warm reception he received from the Command and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to continue working with Civil Defence and other sister agencies in the state for positive results.
He further enjoined the two agencies to work in unison without rivalry towards enhancing adequate security of lives and property in the state.
In his response, the Oyo State Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr Michael Adaralewa commended the new CP for the trust reposed in NSCDC and assured him of the Corps’ readiness to partner with the Police Force especially in information gathering geared towards tackling insecurity in the state.
Commandant Michael Adaralewa later used the medium to admonish the citizens of the State to always furnish the two sister agencies with credible information that will help to nip crime in the bud.
