Malam Nuhu Ribadu, Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, has commended the Nigerian Customs Service for its innovative approach to border security and trade facilitation. During a meeting with the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Ribadu emphasized the importance of technology in modern border management. The Nigerian Customs Service has made significant strides in deploying cutting-edge technology to strengthen surveillance, intelligence gathering, and enforcement across the country’s land and maritime borders. The Service is utilizing Geospatial technology to combat smuggling, trafficking, and other transborder crimes.
