Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has called for greater cultural understanding between Corps Members and their host communities across Nigeria.
Addressing Corps Members in the Bauchi and Plateau State Orientation Camps, Nafiu emphasized the importance of respecting local customs and learning the languages of their hosts to foster peaceful cohabitation. He stressed that no culture is superior to another and urged Corps Members to dress modestly and uphold high standards of behavior.
Nafiu’s remarks were made in the context of ongoing camp activities, where over 2,900 Corps Members are participating across the two states.
