NGO Set To Bring Succour To Widows, Aged, Less Privilege in Lagos.

In it’s efforts to make life easier and meaningful to people of the society especially at the grassroot level, a non governmental organization known as Touch of Love and Lifting Hands Foundation is set to distribute food items worth thousands of naira to the less privileged in Ifako Ijaye Local Government Area.

The gesture, according to the Founder/CEO Engineer Dr. Atinuke Wuraola Owolabi who spoke to Journalists at a press conference, said that the humanitarian organisation whose aim and objectives is to cushion the heightened rise of poverty, hunger among the aged, widows and less privileged and vulnerable in Ifako Ijaye would be celebrating Christmas with them.

Dr Atinuke went stated further that the foundation would be celebrating 6 years of touching and lifting lives, bringing succour to the less privilege, widows and the aged people in Ifako Ijaye and its environs.

According to her, “This year’s event with the theme: Building the Financial Capacity and Resilience of the Aged and Vulnerable in the Period of Economic Disruption” which would commence from the 18th to 21st of December 2023, promises to be splendor as there will be free medical services and free drugs, games, Christmas party, praise and worship with the aged, less privileged, widows and vulnerable as we hope to spread our tentacles to not only the aged people but to the less privileged, widows and those who don’t have anything to celebrate with this season.”

She added, “This is an individual capacity to help these less privileged living in Ifako Ijaye, l noticed the rate at which God has been blessing me which is enormous, so l thought of what to do to appreciate God for all the blessings, God then revealed to me that the best way to appreciate is to extend hand to the less privileged, widows, the aged and vulnerable in the community and thank God, this is 6 years of helping a hand,” she submitted.

The founder, Engr. Mrs Owolabi who is also the chairperson of Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, Lagos Chapter opined that the one week-long event would witness large turnout of people, as the foundation intends to share food items, wrappers, cash and ensure that the aged and vulnerable is being celebrated because in Touch of love and Lifting Hands Foundation, we rise by raising the needy and vulnerable in the world, she stated.
