According to the Secretary General of NAGAFF, Comrade Godfrey Nwosu, Onyeka has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills since his deployment to the command three months ago. Nwosu praised Onyeka’s open-door policy, which has fostered a harmonious working relationship between the customs service and stakeholders.

Onyeka’s efforts in revenue generation, national security, and trade facilitation have been remarkable, and his commitment to stakeholders’ engagement has been instrumental in achieving these successes. The NAGAFF chieftain expressed optimism that the revenue target set by the customs management for the command would be surpassed under Onyeka’s administration.

The commendation is also a recognition of Onyeka’s expertise and network as an INTERPOL officer, which has contributed significantly to the reduction of drug importation at the seaports, particularly at the Tin Can Island Port Command.

The NAGAFF’s commendation of Onyeka is a welcome development, and it underscores the importance of effective leadership and stakeholders’ engagement in promoting trade facilitation and national security. As the Tin Can Island Port Command continues to play a critical role in the country’s economy, Onyeka’s leadership and commitment to stakeholders’ engagement will be crucial in achieving the command’s objectives.
