MWUN PG, Bunu honoured for his exceptional leadership acumen.

 

 

The President -General of Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, has bagged a prestigious award in recognition of his valuable contribution towards Nigeria’s Socio-Economic and political development in commemoration of Nigeria’s 65th Independent Anniversary from Landmark Africa Media Magazine.

According to the statement, the Management of Noble Landmark Africa Media Magazine from whom this noble Award was made possible, describes the President -General of Maritime Workers’ Union, Comrade Bunu as one of the foremost Labour leaders in the country, whose achievements in the labour industry in the shortest period of time cannot be overemphasized.

He was further acknowledged for his impactful leadership within the few period of his leadership in the Union as one that has brought so much innovation, clarity of purpose, with distinct leadership to the Maritime sector and beyond with exceptional leadership acumen in the country, ditto the entire labour industry.

 

Comrade Bunu is also known for his practical demonstration for labour activism right from his early days as a junior ranked Comrade in the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria and has continually demonstrated that Trade Unionism spirit with practical effects is not by mere vain spoken words or sweet oratory sounds; hence, the “Impactful Leadership Award” was so presented to the fierce Labour Activist, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi as deserved.

The Maritime Publishing outfit cited Comrade Bunu’s huge achievements so far in the maritime sector as wonderful, given the short period he just assumed the office of the Maritime Workers’ Union President -General, noting that it was a tall feet of progress for humanity and the industry.

 

The President -General who was represented by Secretary -General of the Union, Comrade Oniha Erazua, at the presentation of the Award, thanked the management team of of Noble Landmark Africa Media for their insight in the maritime industry and by finding him worthy enough for this prestigious award was an honour indeed merited.

 

The union leadership, also thanked the Publishers for standing on the basic truth even as they urged them to keep up the good work.
