In a press statement issued by the publisher of People’s Forum, Pst. Tunde Ojudun, he noted that in April 2004, the company began the publishing of a maritime based newspaper titled “Maritime Forum”.

Ojudun narrated that the quest to capture other sectors of the economy in the well packaged newspaper, necessitated a name change to “National Forum” in 2006.

“As the editors tried to repackage both its aesthetics and editorial contents, the name of the newspaper was changed to “The Forum” in 2007.

“In 2008, the newspaper’s name was again changed to ”People’s Forum” to accommodate more segments of the day-to-day human activities,” the statement explained.

“Since then, the newspaper has been growing by leaps and bounds.
“However, in 2020 after the COVID-19 lockdown, the format of the newspaper was changed to that of magazine even as it went online.

“By the end of March, this year, it would be 20 years that Hynek Media Enterprises has been publishing and disseminating maritime and general news to the reading public,” the statement added.

It assured that dignitaries from all walks of life from within and outside the shores of the country are expected to grace the grand occasion.
